Periodic Table of Elements

The Periodic table of elements is the visual representation of the elements of life. It is assorted by atomic weight, and its rows and columns give insight into what kind of bonds it can form. Rows in the periodic table are called periods. As one moves left to right in a given period, the chemical properties of the elements slowly change. Columns in the periodic table are called groups. Elements in a given group in the periodic table share many similar chemical and physical properties. (Visionlearning)

History of the Periodic Table of Elements

Dimitry Mendeleev was a Serbian born scientist. in 1869 he came up with the basis for the periodic table of elements. (Daintith 605)
He was the first to arrange elements by atomic weight.

Applications of the Periodic Table of Elements

The periodic table of elements is used by scientists of all sorts. Anything that deals with chemistry or the elements themselves completely relies on the knowledge on the periodic table.
